“Attracted by color and shape early on in her life, Dominic went to study to be a painter in Montreal city and is still practicing her art which you can often find displayed at our local shop in Portland, Maine.
While living in the romantic Quebec City, she then studied set design and costume design at a theater school right behind Le Frontenac chateau. That’s also where she later taught graphic design and evolved through the Montreal and Quebec theater and contemporary dance scene as a space and costume designer for years, transitioning to a shorter but strong stint as a stylist and art director in sets.
Just before she quit her office job within a well-known event company, where she was creating 3D mockups for experiential and conceptual space, she started to feel a serious bond with her gardening and herbal research, which changed the course of her life, and brought her to this present moment, merging all of her passions into her new holistic design life inside Fresh Pickins. ”
