Event Pairings

Allagash White - Belgian-style witbier (5.2% ABV)

Witbier is historically associated with the area of Leuven, which is part of the Flemish Brabant province of Belgium. The Whitbier style likely originated in a monastery brewery near Leuven in the 14th century. What else was in 14th-century Flemish monasteries? Why Guillaume Du Fay, Gilles Binchois, and Anoine De Busnois, of course!

Haunted House - Hoppy dark ale (6.6% ABV)

Doomed by a love of pitch-black Porters and Allagash House Beer, they summoned the recipe for Haunted House. Cursed like this gravely dark beer is the haunting music of Jordan Guerrette, leader of the dark folk chamber ensemble Foret Endormie

Hop Reach - American IPA (6.8% ABV)

The IPA beer style is all about hop flavor, aroma, and bitterness. Add the floral, fruity, piney flavor of the American-variety hops and you’ve got a comprehensive beer that balances tropical flavors with a refined bitterness. In walks Don Mitchell, the well-rounded beer incarnate. The frontman of the Indie-Folk band Darlingside, his “exquisitely arranged, literary-minded, baroque folk-pop” (All Songs Considered) has the sweet nostalgia of Simon and Garfunkle with the edgy energy of Vampire Weekend and a finish like Joni Mitchell.
