The Telling Room’s annual celebration of storytelling

Join us for a screening of Show & Tell: A Literary Spectacular, a variety show celebrating the power of storytelling. Now in its fourth year, this event is the primary fundraiser for The Telling Room, a literary arts nonprofit whose mission is to empower youth through writing and share their voices with the world.
The Telling Room's annual literary spectacular produced and directed by Sean Mewshaw, Show & Tell, comes to life on screen at the Portland Museum of Art. This celebration of the power of story features performances by comedian Hari Kondabolu (Netflix's "Warn Your Relatives"), Broadway's Mandy Gonzalez ("Hamilton," "Wicked," "In The Heights"), author Morgan Talty (Night of the Living Rez), singer-songwriter Genevieve Stokes, and young writers from across Maine who have been nurtured by The Telling Room's programs. From the stages of New York City to the State Theatre in Portland, this variety show celebrates the magic of discovering your voice.
The PMA will be splitting all proceeds with The Telling Room, keeping its innovative writing and publishing programs free to Maine youth.
