It’s hard to imagine our state without the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), a leader in issues around sustainability, food resources, and more, and in 2021, MOFGA celebrates its 50th year. To celebrate, we’re hosting the launch event for The Organic Farming Revolution: Past, Present, Future, a book about the organic farming revolution that has swept the country over the past decades can trace much of its origins to MOFGA. The book presents a collection of essays by prominent individuals involved in MOFGA’s evolution as a leader in the organic movement as well as important voices in national discussions around the movement, and the event offers readings and discussion from essayists as well as a Q&A session.
