Two artists from Untitled, 2020: Art from Maine in a ________ Time come together in conversation in each installment of “Intersections,” our free digital event series that runs throughout the exhibition. Through informal, open-ended conversation, these two artists will make new discoveries together, ask questions, and find common ground in their practices. In this installment, Joshua Reiman and Evelyn Wong hosts the conversation, and we encourage you to sit in.
Joshua Reiman works in sculpture, film, video and photography; for Untitled, 2020 he contributes a sculpture made from dishes, clay bowls, engraved plates, and china, dating from 1500 B.C. through the 20th century.
Interdisciplinary artist Evelyn Wong works with themes of identity, race and gender, community and storytelling, researching histories and sociopolitical issues that affect Asian Americans to inform her art.
