Evening for Educators: Stories of Maine

  • Portland Museum of Art 7 Congress St Portland, ME, 04101 United States (map)

Join us for an online conversation about social studies and its role in shaping the narrative of history. This program designed specifically for educators will feature PMA staff in conversation with Fiona Hopper, Social Studies Teacher Leader and Wabanaki Studies Coordinator at Portland Public Schools, and Bridgid Neptune, Passamaquoddy Citizen, Nurse Practitioner, and Wabanaki Studies Consultant. We will explore the exhibition Stories of Maine: An Incomplete History; learn about PMA Resources; and discuss how to utilize multiple perspectives in the classroom.
