With the generous support of our members, donors, and friends, we have successfully completed both of our campaign challenges secured late in 2011 — the $250,000 grant from an anonymous regional foundation to complete the Winslow Homer Studio Building Endowment Fund and the $700,000 grant to fully fund the Winslow Homer Education Endowment. The first grant will ensure the preservation of the Studio itself, which gave rise to Homer's most famous works and provides unsurpassed opportunities to become engaged in the artist's experience. The second grant will fund the breakthrough program Cannon Rock Sessions, a biennial residency beginning in the summer of 2013; Art in Process; and Homer High School Fellows. In addition, funding will establish the Homer Colby Fellowship, an annual opportunity for a Colby College student to work with the Museum's Education and Curatorial departments. Thank you for your tremendous support of these two challenge grants. Their successful completion will, no doubt, lead to a brighter future for the Portland Museum of Art.

Although we are celebrating the successful completion of the challenge grants, there is still time to participate in this historic Campaign. Pledges can be paid over a three-year period. Gifts can also be made online.
