Now $19.99, the design for this tie bar was inspired by designs created for Hollyhock House, 1919-21, by Frank Lloyd Wright. This house was Wright's first Los Angeles project and represents his earliest efforts to develop a regionally appropriate style of architecture. The design for this tie bar, an abstract, stylized hollyhock, was the favorite flower of Wright's client, oil heiress Aline Barnsdall, and was used as the ornamental motif throughout the house.
