All press, influencers, and media guests of the museum must adhere to the following guidelines:
Keep it safe.
Please ensure you’re aware of your surroundings and give plenty of space to the artwork. A good rule of thumb is about 2 feet clearance.
Please abide by the museum’s health and safety guidelines during your visit.
Keep it kind.
We’re committed to be an open, accessible, inclusive, and welcoming museum for all, and that means respecting the diversity of experiences possible at the PMA and through the transformative power of art.
Artwork asks us all to expand our minds and open our hearts. It can be peaceful, affirming, and reflective, but it can also challenge us and take us in unexpected directions. That is the magic of museums. There is no one way to look at art, and we believe our role is to be there for you when you need us—through didactics and materials that provide context, perspective, and information—or step back and allow you to have a one-on-one experience with a work of art.
You have the right to experience your visit through your perspective, and we ask you to respect that right for fellow visitors, members, staff, and volunteers.
Photography.
Taking photos is encouraged and allowed in most conditions. Professional photography requires permission in advance—just email us and we’ll help make your arrangements.
Precaution should be taken when taking photos—it can be easier than you’d think to back up into something or someone.
No flash photography is allowed at any time in the museum. This is due to managing the amount of light artworks are exposed to when on view.
