Einar Jarmund has been practicing architecture together with Hakon Vigsnæs for the past 16 years. Their work thrives on projects that necessitate creative and intelligent solutions based on limitations—be they site, climate, or budget. The majority of their work is comprised of mid-sized houses, though they have a number of public projects as well, including a renovation of the Oslo School of Architecture and the Svalbard Science Center. JVA’s architecture and practice focus primarily on the process and grit of design, rathen than on presenting a polished appearance.
